Position Description:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the organization's accounting functions for their multiple entities/funding sources, including general ledger maintenance, the budgetary process, and accounting support to all departments. This position will also assist with the financial and tax reporting functions and have management oversight of the accounting staff.

Essential Functions

  • General Accounting Oversight (40%)
    • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management
  • Manage Month-End Close (30%)
    • Review all journal entries, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet schedule
    • Prepare Monthly Financial Reporting Packages for ALL entities
    • Resolve coding errors for cost centers, projects, GL
  • External Reporting Audit (15%)
    • Lead data audit and fiscal reviews
  • Supervisory Responsibilities (15%)
    • Coach/train team members for department growth

Candidate Should Possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business-related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems
  • Analytical skills and thorough understanding of (GAAP).
  • Cost Accounting experience highly preferred
  • Real Estate Accounting experience preferred
  • Previous management and supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Detailed Ledger Accounting experience preferred
  • Not for Profit Accounting experience a plus
